Billing and Fees

  TYRO  ,  Tyro will be available  from September 2019,  which will allow you to receive your rebate back in your account  immediately  *    No more waiting weeks for Medicare  cheques  to arrive by post …..

We encourage all Patients to register their bank details with Medicare to allow you rebate to be deposited direct into your account . 

Please bring your current Medicare /Concession Cards.

For your convenience, EFTPOS is available; we also accept cash .  If you need to cancel or change your appointment we request this is done as soon as possible so that we can re-allocate your time to someone else.

If we are not notified, a non-attendance fee may be charged. If you have an account enquiry, please contact our Practice Manager

New …..Dressing  &  Procedure consumable charges apply from September 2019 for all patients .  Simply accepting the Bulk Billed amount from Medicare does not adequately compensate the practice  for the service and consumables provided. So the following additional fees have been introduced. 

  • Basic Dressing  consumable fee for all patients seen for dressings in the treatment room  is $11.00**  + Consult Fee , all paid on the day , and  you get your Medicare Rebate back to your account in 11 Seconds !!!

  • Procedure Fee for all removals or excisions that require suturing and dressing is   a   $30.00  consumable fee  + MBS item  fee from the Doctor   for the removal , all paid on the day , but your rebate will be back in your account in 11 seconds !!

( **  other more complex dressings  will incur a higher charge – see our staff for more details  )

All non-government funded and travel vaccines are to be paid in full on the day.

For patients under WorkCover, invoices will be forwarded to the employer. If for any reason the WorkCover claim is rejected, the financial responsibility will be transferred to the patient for payment. Statements of accounts will be emailed to patients who have given consent.

We do have available in our foyer for purchase , First Aid Kits , Crutches , BP Machines , Thermometers, Face masks for CPR.

If you are experiencing severe financial difficulties please ask to discuss this in private with the  Practice Manager , and we can discuss payment plan options with you. Refusal to pay for outstanding accounts or payment plan options may result in further action.
