Vacancy for Generally Registered GP

We have a vacancy for a experienced General Practitioner who has current general registration with AHPRA. An ACCRM or RACGP fellowship will be highly regarded. An excellent salary package will be offered to the successful applicant.

Ferrers Medical Clinic is an expanding and progressive GP owned Practice. The practice provides high quality community-based healthcare services to the community of Mount Gambier and the surrounding districts and branch clinic in Port Macdonnell.

The practice is committed to providing patients with the utmost care and customer service with services including family medicine, dermatology, counselling, paediatrics, obstetrics including ultrasound facilities, mental health, geriatrics, palliative care. On-site pathology is provided and visiting Allied Health and Specialists are encouraged to work with the Practice.

The practice is modern well established, fully accredited and computerised. It currently supports a team of 12 GPs who in turn are supported by a strong nursing and administration team.

Mount Gambier is located in south eastern South Australia and is equidistant from Adelaide and Melbourne. The city has a population of approximately 26,000.

As the largest city in regional South Australia, Mount Gambier has a wide industry base. This ranges from primary industries, such as timber and forestry, wineries, agriculture, fishing and transport. Vacancy for  Registered Nurse

We have a  2-3 day PPT role available for a Registered Nurse to be part of our team.

The successful applicant would need to be able to be to work full days .

Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

  • ECG’s
  • Spirometry
  • Ear syringe
  • Dressings
  • Chronic Disease management
  • Health Assessments.
  • Infection control.
  • Immunisations for adults and children

This position will be min  24hrs per week  , may require a sat morning for fill in .

The applicant will need to be able to work in a busy environment as part of a team working closely with our GP’s and nurses but also confident to work independently. On the job training will be provided, in all our policies and procedures.
