TYRO AVAILABLE
Tyro allows you to receive your rebate back into your account immediately. No more waiting weeks for Medicare cheques to arrive by post. This service is only available to those who pay on day in person. This process requires a savings or cheque card. Your rebate cannot be processed back onto a mobile device or credit card. In the event that you only have a mobile or credit card your rebate will be processed into your bank account within 24 hours.
We encourage all Patients to register their bank details with Medicare to allow you rebate to be deposited direct into your account.
Please bring your current Medicare/Concession Cards.
Dressing & Procedure Consumable Charges
Consumable charges apply for all patients. Simply accepting the Bulk Billed amount from Medicare does not adequately compensate the practice for the service and consumables provided. So the following additional fees have been introduced.
Dressings
Dressings and/or consumables given during the management of your wound or injury will incur a non-rebatable fee* to be paid on the day along with the consult charge. All charges need to be paid in total on the day of service, your rebate for the consult charge will be processed back to your bank account on the same day depending on card type as mentioned above.
*Various levels of Dressing Fees apply dependent on consumables applied.
Procedures
A non-rebateable procedure fee* will also apply for all procedures. Procedures include but are not limited to, biopsies, ear syringes, resections and skin tag/lesion removals using CRYO etc. You will be required to pay the procedure fee applicable to your service as well as the consult fee. Your rebate for the consult charge will be processed back to your bank account on the same day depending on card type as mentioned above.

Procedures requiring Histology
This is when a procedure such as a biopsy is performed where the sample is required to be sent away for further testing. A non-rebateable procedure fee* will apply on the day of the procedure. You will be required to book an appointment to come back for your histology results and, if required, wound management. Once you return you will then be required to pay for the consultation along with the biopsy fee for testing. You will receive a rebate for your consultation charge and the biopsy fee.

Vaccinations
All non-government funded and travel vaccines are to be paid in full on the day.
Work Cover
For patients under Work Cover, invoices will be forwarded to the employer. If for any reason the Work Cover claim is rejected, the financial responsibility will be transferred to the patient for payment. Statements of accounts will be emailed to patients who have given consent.
Non attendance
Non-attendance to appointments will incur a $50.00 non-attendance fee. For longer appointments the charge will be $100.
You are required to inform us that you are cancelling your appointment within one hour of the appointment to avoid these charges.

OUR POLICY IS THAT WE ARE A PAY ON DAY CLINIC, ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE SETTLED ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
- Please bring your current Medicare /Concession Cards.
- For your convenience, TYRO is available to pay accounts and receive your rebate back on the same day.
- All vaccines are to be paid in full on the day.
- Pensioners and under 15 year olds will be bulk billed. *
- Concession card holders will receive a discount.
- Refusal or delay to pay for outstanding accounts may result in restriction to medical services until account balances are cleared. If required, we have payment plans available
*If you have had documents, paperwork or scripts etc completed at your request outside of an appointment where you have not booked to see the GP regardless of pension status you may be charged a fee for the doctors time and service.
