For driving medicals if your appointment is booked after your due date the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure should be advised of the appointment time booked and will generally extend the patient’s timeframe for medical assessment if required.
Ferrers Medical Clinic can provide employers and patients with pre-employment medical assessments.
Most medicals require a double appointment with the doctor. Drug Screening for employment medicals is not performed at the clinic, instead employers are encouraged to contact one of the pathology providers in Mount Gambier to arrange for this testing.
Our nurses can perform lung function testing (Spirometry) as part of a medical requested by an employer. Additional fees apply for this test. We cannot perform audiology assessments for pre-employment medicals.
